Hyndman Area Rescue Squad is an all volunteer ambulance service that has been serving the community since the early 1970s. Hyndman Area Rescue Squad is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Health as a Basic Life Support Ambulance Service.
Hyndman Area Rescue Squad is able to respond with 2 BLS units that are AED and EPI Pen equipped. Recently, the EMTs were certified by their Medical Director, Dr. Horton, to carry EPI Pens on each ambulance.
Hyndman Area Rescue Squad receives and extends a big thanks to all the companies who provide mutual aid/ medic assists: Bedford, Raystown, Ellerslie, Corriganville, and Cumberland City. Hyndman Area Rescue Squad currently has: 16 EMTs, 8 FR, and 14 CPR certified ambulance personnel.
